【英語初級レッスン No.10】can / can’t（可能・許可）の使い方
こんにちは！このレッスンでは can / can’t を学びます。
「できる」・「できない」・「してもいい？」を自然に言えるようになりましょう。
1. can / can’t の意味とポイント
- can：〜できる／〜してもよい
例）I can swim.（私は泳げます） - can’t（cannot）：〜できない／〜してはいけない
例）She can’t drive a car.（彼女は車を運転できません） - 許可の質問：Can we open the window?（窓を開けてもいいですか？）
🔑 can は主語が変わっても形が変わりません。 be動詞のように am / is / are にはなりません。
2. 文の作り方（肯定・否定・疑問）
基本形：主語 + can / can’t + 動詞の原形

| 答え方 | Yes, I can. / No, I can’t. | はい、できます。／いいえ、できません。 |
💡 he / she / it のときも can はそのまま。動詞に -s はつきません。
3. ネイティブがよく使う3つの用法

4. 例文練習（日本語訳つき）
- I can cook Italian food.（私はイタリア料理を作れます）
- He can’t sing well.（彼は上手に歌えません）
- We can play basketball after school.（放課後にバスケができます）
- She can’t use a computer.（彼女はパソコンを使えません）
- Can you ride a bike?（自転車に乗れますか？）
- Yes, I can. / No, I can’t.（はい、できます。／いいえ、できません。）
5. 会話で使ってみよう
A: Can you help me with my homework?
（宿題を手伝ってくれる？）B: Sure, I can.
（もちろん、できるよ）A: Great! Can you also cook dinner tonight?
（いいね！今夜は夕食も作れる？）B: Sorry, I can’t. I have to study.
（ごめん、できないんだ。勉強しないといけなくて）

- 彼はこの重い箱を一人で運べません。（carry, heavy, by himself）
- ここでは写真を撮ってはいけません。（take photos, here）
- 彼女は二言語（中国語と韓国語）を話せます。（speak, Chinese and Korean）
- 生徒は日曜日に図書館を使えますか。（students, use, on Sundays, library）
- 私たちはその会議に出席できません。（attend, meeting）
- 彼は壊れた自転車を自分で修理できます。（repair/fix, broken bike, by himself）
- あなたはこの単語を辞書なしで説明できますか。（explain, without a dictionary）
- 私はその高いノートPCは買う余裕がありません。（afford, expensive laptop）
- 窓を開けてもいいですか。部屋が暑すぎます。（open the window, too hot）
- 彼らは今夜、席を予約できますか。（reserve, seats, tonight）
- 子どもはエレベーターで一人にしてはいけません。（leave, kids, alone, elevator）
